Job summary

HCLTech Australia is seeking a security-focused professional for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Sydney. The role centers on securing cloud environments across AWS and Azure, implementing security controls, and continuous monitoring in enterprise-scale environments.

You will work with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD security, and IAM, RBAC, PAM, and Zero Trust concepts, delivering automated remediation and policy-driven security guardrails across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong experience securing cloud environments across AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, GuardDuty, AWS Config, Azure Policy.
• Experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD security using Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Strong understanding of secrets and key management using Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and remediating vulnerabilities across cloud, infrastructure, operating systems, containers, and applications using tools such as Qualys, CrowdStrike, Prisma Cloud, Microsoft Defender, and AWS Security Hub.
• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Zero Trust principles, Conditional Access, and least-privilege security models.
• Good understanding of network and infrastructure security, including Firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, network segmentation, private connectivity, DNS security, Network Security Groups, Security Groups, and hybrid cloud security architectures.
• Experience implementing and maintaining cloud security guardrails, policy-as-code, compliance frameworks, security baselines, and automated remediation mechanisms across AWS and Azure environments.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, with emphasis on secure infrastructure deployment, policy compliance, and security control implementation.
• Experience working within Agile, DevOps, and Security Engineering teams, collaborating across development, infrastructure, architecture, and cyber security functions.
