Placements24 is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to bolster security across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for Australian operations. You will design, implement, and manage controls protecting data and systems while collaborating with IT operations and development teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or computer science and 3+ years in cloud security, with hands-on expertise and a DevSecOps mindset. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or related security role.
• Hands-on experience with security configurations and best practices for major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance deviations.
• Lead incident response efforts for security breaches and data loss events.
• Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into development and deployment processes (DevSecOps).
