Job summary

RAC WA is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native solutions across a modern stack on Azure. You will drive quality through end-to-end testing, shape best practices, and collaborate with users and stakeholders to deliver alignments with RAC's technology direction.

The role offers a 2-year maximum term contract with flexible hybrid arrangements, and opportunities for learning and certifications as part of career growth.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software design, architecture, development, and testing.
• Experience with cloud-native systems on Azure.
• Proficient in unit, integration, performance, and functional testing.
• Familiar with headless CMS and mobile frameworks (React Native, Ionic, PWA).
• Azure certifications a plus; Dynamics/Power Platform/ITIL bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Design and build solutions to real business challenges with intuitive, lasting experiences.
• Bring infrastructure to life using code-first principles on Azure and manage cloud resources.
• Own end-to-end testing — unit, integration, performance, functional — and document work for knowledge sharing.
• Lead best-practice initiatives—standards, pipelines, and DevOps culture across the team.
• Engage with users and stakeholders to understand needs and translate into deliverables.
• Contribute to end-to-end solution design across front-end, back-end, and integration.
• Ensure systems stay available and resilient with recovery targets and stakeholder support.
