Job summary

RAC WA is seeking a Software Engineer to shape digital experiences for Western Australians. You’ll work on a modern cloud-native stack on Azure, design and build end-to-end solutions, and champion DevOps with automated pipelines.

You’ll engage with users and stakeholders to translate needs into robust software across front-end, back-end, and integration layers, ensuring systems stay available and resilient with meaningful disaster recovery targets.

Qualifications

• Proficient in .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js and Python.
• Cloud-native experience on Azure; Terraform/ARM/PowerShell familiarity.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing within DevOps culture.
• Strong understanding of high-availability and resiliency design.
• Tertiary qualification in CS or IT; Azure certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native solutions on Azure to meet business needs.
• Architect and manage cloud resources balancing performance, availability, and cost.
• Own end-to-end testing: unit, integration, performance, and functional.
• Embed DevOps practices, automate pipelines, and drive best practices.
• Engage with users and stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
• Ensure systems are highly available with meaningful disaster recovery targets.
