Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer for the Product Sizing and Packaging (PSP) team.

You will help size architectures to meet Splunk EC workload needs and build internal/external customer-facing applications. You’ll join an on-call rotation to resolve critical incidents outside business hours, while collaborating with product owners and designers to deliver scalable backend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency or exposure to backend technologies (Go, Python) and related ecosystems.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee the development of features and APIs that provide new value to customers.
• Build backend systems that turn subscription details into infrastructure recommendations and deployment inputs.
• Simplify complex tasks into manageable steps for the team.
• Refine tools and processes to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Engage in open design discussions and code reviews to foster collaboration.
