Job summary

Cisco Australia is seeking a Software Engineer for the PSP team to size infrastructures and deliver customer-focused applications and services. You will collaborate with product owners and designers to build backend APIs and tools that convert subscription data into deployment inputs and infrastructure recommendations.

You will also participate in on-call rotations to address customer incidents outside business hours, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 2 years of related experience OR Master's degree with minimal related experience
  • Basic knowledge of backend technologies, such as Go and Python, or related ecosystems; exposure via coursework or internship
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and convey complex ideas clearly

Job description

Role Summary

This role is for a Software Engineer on the Product Sizing and Packaging (PSP) team, which is responsible for sizing individual infrastructures (the architectures) to optimally meet our Splunk Enterprise Cloud (EC) customers’ workload requirements. Splunk is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative engineer to work closely with product owners and designers to build and support a suite of internal/external customer-facing Splunk applications/services to collect, analyze, visualize, and deliver an architecture to meet customer needs. You will also participate in an on-call rotation to handle customer blocking issues and critical incidents outside regular business hours to ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime and impact on customers.
