Informatech Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a hands-on Azure Cloud Architect to join a Federal Government engagement. You will design, document and build Azure solutions within the established landing zone, guiding a team of cloud engineers and setting technical direction.

You’ll collaborate with developers to deploy applications on Azure, implement hybrid networks and API integrations, and advance the DevOps toolchain with GitOps practices while ensuring security and compliance.

Formación

• 5+ years of cloud architecture and delivery experience.
• Deep Azure expertise across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
• Strong GitOps, IaC and DevOps engineering experience.
• Hybrid networking and API integration capabilities.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and ASD/Privacy Act compliance.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or CCSP certification (or equivalent).
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to stakeholders.

Informatech is a 100% Australian-owned ICT consultancy delivering Testing Services, Technical Services, Project Delivery and Cyber Security. We’re looking for a hands-on Azure Cloud Architect to join a Federal Government engagement in Canberra.

The platform’s landing zone is already established. Your job is to take it further: designing and documenting solutions, then building them alongside a team of talented cloud engineers. You’ll set technical direction, support the team’s delivery, and roll up your sleeves when it counts.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, documenting and building Azure solutions that support a range of projects and workloads
• Leading and supporting a team of cloud engineers, and contributing directly to the build
• Working within the established landing zone architecture and helping shape its future development
• Working with developers to build and deploy applications on Azure
• Designing and delivering hybrid integration, including hybrid networks and APIs that connect to on-premises systems
• Managing infrastructure as a software product using GitOps practices
• Developing and improving the DevOps toolchain

What you’ll bring

• Deep Azure expertise across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
• Strong GitOps, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps engineering experience
• Hybrid networking and API integration experience
• Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance (e.g. ASD ISM, Privacy Act)
• At least 5 years in cloud architecture and technical delivery roles
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or CCSP certification (or equivalent)
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Highly regarded

• Microsoft Fabric and data platform experience
• Previous Australian Federal Government experience
• Experience with containerisation and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)

Security clearance: Candidates must be an Australian Citizen and hold an Australian Government security clearance NV1 or higher.
