Job summary

Hitech Asia Pacific seeks an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead Azure-based cloud modernization for a Federal Government program in Canberra. The role is a 12-month initial contract with a view to extending for another 12 months, offering hybrid work arrangements and a competitive hourly rate.

You will design secure, scalable Azure solutions, oversee governance and architecture standards, and provide guidance to delivery teams across a portfolio of initiatives.

A Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to provide senior cloud architecture expertise across a portfolio of technology initiatives and support the continued modernisation of a Microsoft Azure environment. The successful Cloud Solutions Architect will secure an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended for 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate.

The Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Leading cloud solution architectures from requirements through to implementation
• Designing secure, resilient, scalable and supportable solutions using approved Microsoft Azure services
• Producing solution designs, patterns, standards and implementation guidance
• Presenting solution proposals through architecture and technology governance processes
• Providing architecture oversight and technical guidance to delivery teams

The Cloud Solutions Architect will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience as an architect designing and delivering a significant cloud or digital transformation initiative
• Strong ability to define and validate business requirements and translate them into practical solution designs
• Experience leading complex technology implementations and taking accountability for delivery outcomes
• Sound understanding of Commonwealth governance, security, assurance and procurement requirements
• Experience designing Azure platforms supporting enterprise data, integration, analytics, artificial intelligence or machine learning
