Job summary

People Connect ICT Solutions in Canberra is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer to join a 3-year Federal Government engagement. You’ll design and deliver enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure and M365 solutions, providing architecture guidance across multi-disciplinary teams.

You’ll lead Azure services, security and integration work, collaborate with architects, developers, BAs, Scrum Masters and stakeholders, and help shape solution design in a hybrid Canberra

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Azure experience.
• 3+ years designing architecture for complex enterprise environments.
• Experience guiding technical decisions and leading projects.
• Secure cloud architecture and integration know-how.

Senior Azure Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer – EL1 | Canberra

Role Details

Canberra – Hybrid

Baseline Clearance or above

Australian Citizens may be considered for clearance

Start: 19 October 2026

12 months + 24-month extension

EL1 Level

40 hours per week

What you’ll be working on

You’ll be involved in designing and delivering enterprise-level Microsoft Azure and M365 solutions, providing architecture guidance and working closely with technical and business teams.

• Azure solution and platform architecture

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience
• Strong experience implementing and managing cloud solutions
• 3+ years designing/documenting architecture for complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and integration
• Experience providing technical leadership across projects and operations
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence technical decisions
• AWS/GCP experience is desirable but not mandatory.
