Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT Eden is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Memorial Memory Unit and community team in Eden. You will lead clinical care, develop personalised care plans, and advocate for residents’ quality of life while collaborating with medical and allied health teams.

You’ll apply your nursing expertise with current AHPRA registration, ideally with aged or community care exposure, and demonstrate adaptability, empathy, and strong time management in a supportive, values‑driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged or community care is ideal, or willingness to start in aged care if coming from broader health.
• Adaptability, empathy, resourcefulness, strong time management, and alignment with Uniting values.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet individual needs.
• Provide clinical services with sharp assessment skills and lead clinical care.
• Get to know each resident and become a core part of their life.
• Ensure care aligns with residents' goals and advocate for quality of life with families and professionals.
• Supervise and support Personal Care Workers.
• Lead the team with holistic, critical decision‑making in practice.

Who we’re looking for

• You’ll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.
• Ideally, you’ll have previous registered nursing experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care if you have nursing experience in the wider health sector.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
• You’ll be committed to contemporary aged care nursing practice.

Career Development Opportunity:

Registered Nurses who are new to aged care, or those in their first or second year of practice who have not previously completed a Graduate Nurse Program, are encouraged to participate in Uniting’s Aged Care Transition to Practice Program. This supportive program is designed to build confidence, enhance clinical skills, and provide a strong foundation for a rewarding career in aged care

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
• You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
• Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
• Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
• You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
• Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
• Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision‑making skills to lead the team.

• Above‑award pay rates (up to $54.19 per hour) and maximum allowable salary packaging to pay less tax (additional $18,550 tax‑free plus regional benefits plus parking)
