Queensland Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse, Paediatrics for Mount Isa Hospital to deliver expert care for infants to adolescents across North West Queensland. You will work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality, evidence-based paediatric care in a busy hospital setting.

You will influence clinical practice, support staff development, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve outcomes for children and families in the region.

Formación

About the role

As the Clinical Nurse, Paediatrics, you will provide advanced clinical leadership within a busy and rewarding paediatric environment caring for children from birth through to adolescence.

Working autonomously and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you'll coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with a broad range of acute, chronic, surgical and complex healthcare needs.

This is an opportunity to influence clinical practice, support staff development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that make a genuine difference to children and families across the region.

Working with us

• For 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,714. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$11,140; and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,426 (pro rata for part time employees).
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
• Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
• Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (full time employees) (inc. spouse/dependents) or 1 return airfare p.a. (part time employees) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave.

Plus 2 weeks p.a., travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.

We also offer staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.

Requirements

• Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• A period of probation may apply.
