NSW Health in Hillston is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to develop nursing capability through education, mentoring and clinical support, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care across the service.

Employment type: Temporary Part Time until 22 November 2027 (with possibility of extension)

Position classification: Clinical Nurse Educator

Renumeration: $124,273.70 - $128,301.89 per annum, pro rata (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

Hours per week: up to 16

About The Role

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence of nursing staff to deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred care. Working closely with clinicians, students and new graduates, you will assess learning needs, design and facilitate education programmes, and foster a positive learning culture that supports professional growth and quality patient outcomes

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess, develop, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs that support nursing staff within the service.
• Facilitate orientation, onboarding and transition programs for new and existing employees to build clinical capability and confidence.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to students, novice clinicians, new graduates and nursing staff.
• Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous professional development through education, coaching and role modelling.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, education resources, policy development and clinical practice improvement activities across the service.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated clinical experience within the relevant specialty area and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Proven experience in clinical teaching, education facilitation and competency assessment within a healthcare setting.
• Highly developed communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and develop nursing staff at all stages of their career.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, with postgraduate education qualifications (or working towards) highly regarded.
• A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required
• A current Working With Children Check
• Vaccination Category A compliance
• Australian working rights
