NSW Health in Bathurst is recruiting a part-time Clinical Nurse Educator to lead education, development and capability building for mental health clinicians across Bathurst, Mudgee and Cowra.

Based in Bathurst Community Mental Health, you will deliver education programs, facilitate learning opportunities and promote evidence-based practice to ensure staff provide high-quality mental health care. This role offers part-time hours and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Must be a registered nurse with scope to educate and support clinical staff.
  • Experience delivering education programs in mental health.
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead education programs and develop learning opportunities for mental health clinicians.
  • Coordinate professional development activities and clinical mentorship.
  • Promote evidence-based practice to improve patient care across Bathurst, Mudgee and Cowra.

About the role

Join our Mental Health Service as a Clinical Nurse Educator and take the lead in supporting the education, development and capability of mental health clinicians across Bathurst, Mudgee and Cowra. Working part-time business hours, this role plays a pivotal role in delivering education programs, facilitating learning opportunities and promoting evidence‑based practice to ensure staff are equipped to provide high‑quality mental health care.

Based within Bathurst Community Mental Health, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers and Psychiatrists dedicated to delivering quality care to the local community. Supported by experienced senior clinicians, you will have the opportunity to influence clinical practice, strengthen workforce capability and contribute to positive outcomes for both staff and consumers.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with nursing, allied health and medical staff to identify learning needs, coordinate professional development activities and provide mentorship and clinical support across a range of mental health settings. Your expertise will contribute to workforce development initiatives, support clinical excellence and help foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
