Job summary

BlueCare — part of UnitingCare Queensland — is seeking a Clinical Nurse to lead community-based nursing care in Biloela. You will oversee service portfolios, guide frontline staff and ensure high-quality, person-centred care in residents' homes within the community.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration, possess strong communication and leadership skills, and have experience in community or aged care settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification required.
• Current AHPRA registration required.
• Extensive general nursing experience with clinical skills.
• Ability to liaise with care team and provide coordinated care.
• Leadership and mentorship to other team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor and review care plans for residents.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of residents.
• Assist with orientation and ongoing professional development of staff.
• Ensure service meets accreditation standards.

Your part in our Clinical Team

As our Clinical Nurse, you will be allocated a service portfolio and have the opportunity to lead and inspire the frontline clinical team through the provision of guidance and mentorship. The role will hone into your effective decision making and clinical experience where you will provide exceptional care whilst responding to clinical nursing issues and concerns.

• Development, implementation, monitoring and review of care plans
• Comprehensive and accurate assessment of residents

You Will Be An Experienced Clinician, With Considerable Experience Within An Acute Or Aged Care Environment. You’ll Be An Advocate For Person-centred Care, Leading By Example Through Exceptional Communication And Customer Service. You’ll Present With

• Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent qualification
• Current AHPRA registration
• Extensive general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of clinical experience.
• Ability to liaise with the care team and to provide co-ordinated care.
• Confidence to manage conflict, pressures and competing priorities
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team with ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to other team members
• Previous community nursing experience and knowledge in community funding is highly desirable
