Job summary

Hawkesbury District Health Service, Windsor NSW, is seeking a Clinical Midwife Educator to lead and deliver high-quality clinical education across the Antenatal Clinic, Ward and Birth Unit. You will develop, implement and evaluate education programs to support midwifery and nursing staff with competency assessments and student support.

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
• Post-registration qualifications in education or relevant clinical/education experience.
• Ability to design, deliver and evaluate high quality clinical education and competency assessments.
• Commitment to mentorship and capability building to strengthen workforce competence.
• Evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Motivate and engage staff in the clinical setting within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record management systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, implement and evaluate education programs for midwifery and nursing staff.
• Lead clinical teaching, orientation, competency assessment and student support.
• Collaborate with the Midwifery Unit Manager to deliver education across antenatal clinics, antenatal/postnatal ward and birth unit.
• Promote a safe, compassionate, person-centred learning culture and professional growth.
