Job summary

Murrumbidgee Local Health District – Young, NSW, seeks a Clinical Midwife Educator to lead education and mentorship for the midwifery workforce. This permanent part-time role focuses on delivering evidence-based, person-centred care and advancing learning across the Young Maternity Service.

The educator will plan and evaluate education programs, promote best practice, and foster continuous improvement in patient care and workforce capability, with incentives under NSW Rural Health Workforce

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife and/or Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualification in education or a clinical specialty area.
• Extensive recent clinical experience.
• Ability to deliver clinical education and assessments using contemporary teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs for nursing and midwifery staff.
• Provide day-to-day clinical education, mentoring, preceptorship and support to students and staff.
• Collaborate with managers and multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and implement strategies.
• Promote a positive learning culture and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
