Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a technical officer to provide ICT support for clinical IT, medical equipment and telecommunications systems across their facilities. You will manage and maintain mobile devices, nurse call systems, duress alarms, and audio/visual systems to keep patient care running smoothly.

The role focuses on timely service delivery, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and compliance with Australian Standards, with hands-on work across diverse settings and teams, reporting to

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in IT or related field is required.
• Demonstrated prior experience as IT support/technical officer.
• Extensive knowledge in IT networking, system administration and computerised equipment management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, training and deployment of clinical IT systems, hardware, software, servers and network infrastructure.
• Manage telecommunications services and equipment, including mobile devices, nurse call systems, duress alarms, audiovisual systems and videoconferencing, coordinating upgrades and vendor projects.
• Perform and coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance of clinical equipment, ensuring safety, performance, compliance with Australian Standards and accurate maintenance records.
