Qualifications

• Experience in or the ability to rapidly learn pre-analytical processes in a large and complex specimen reception unit.
• Demonstrated data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, take initiative, problem solve and work without direct supervision.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with clients, clinical staff and colleagues.
• Understanding of laboratory quality systems and requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification.
• Awareness of human resource management policies applicable to contemporary workplaces.
• Demonstrate a high level of commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
