Job summary

Queensland Health on the Gold Coast seeks a capable laboratory support professional to perform pre-analytical and post-analytical processes, maintain quality and safety, and assist scientific staff with sample processing.

You will handle data entry, storage, waste disposal, stocking consumables, maintaining equipment and reagents, and support Point of Care devices in hospital wards, contributing to a high-performing, inclusive lab team.

Qualifications

• Exp able to perform pre- and post-analytical processes in a lab setting.
• Ability to learn basic laboratory processes and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to use or learn to use the Laboratory Information System and to enter patient data.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical and post-analytical processes accurately.
• Assist scientific staff with sample processing.
• Conduct data entry and routine laboratory duties (environment, temperatures, storage, disposal, stock levels, equipment, reagents).
• Maintain Point of Care equipment in wards.
