Job summary

Lake Imaging, part of the Integral Diagnostics Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse (Division 2) with medication endorsement to support radiology services in Ballarat. You will perform IV cannulation as required, educate patients and their families, and provide post-procedure care and discharge planning.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-field MRI environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and contributing to efficient room setup and patient transport after

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Division 2, medication endorsement.
• IV cannulation qualification or willingness to attend cannulation course.
• Ability to work in a high-field MRI environment.
• Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient-centred care approach and relationship building with patients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• IV Cannulation as required.
• Admission and education of patients and their families.
• Post procedure care, recovery and discharge
• Liaising with orderly staff for transport of patients post examination/procedure to wards.
• Including assisting to set up the room for various scans including lifting and changing equipment

ABOUT YOU

• Registered Nurse, Division 2 with medication endorsement to administer oral and IM medication with current Registration with Nurses Board of Victoria,
• To be able to work in a high-field magnetic environment.
• Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
• IV Cannulation qualification or preparedness to attend a cannulation course
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong patient centred care approach with an ability to effectively build patient relationships
