Job summary

Lake Imaging, part of the Integral Diagnostics Group, is seeking a Clinical Assistant, Division 2 Nurse to join the Ballarat radiology nursing team. You will perform IV cannulation, educate patients and families, and support post-procedure care and discharge in a high-field MRI setting.

The role requires registration as a Div 2 nurse with medication endorsement, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, Division 2 with medication endorsement and current registration with Nurses Board of Victoria.
• Ability to work in a high-field MRI environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with time management.
• IV Cannulation qualification or willingness to attend a cannulation course.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergencies and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient-centred care approach with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a Clinical Assistant, Division 2 Nurse to join our Private Radiology nursing team in the Ballarat region. You will be responsible for:

• IV Cannulation as required.
• Admission and education of patients and their families.
• Post procedure care, recovery and discharge
• Liaising with orderly staff for transport of patients post examination/procedure to wards.
• Including assisting to set up the room for various scans including lifting and changing equipment

ABOUT YOU

• Registered Nurse, Division 2 with medication endorsement to administer oral and IM medication with current Registration with Nurses Board of Victoria,
• To be able to work in a high-field magnetic environment.
• Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
• IV Cannulation qualification or preparedness to attend a cannulation course
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong patient centred care approach with an ability to effectively build patient relationships
