Job summary

RAC is seeking a Climate Change Adviser within the Group Sustainability team in Western Australia. You will help strengthen resilience to climate change, assess risks and opportunities, and support mandatory reporting and governance requirements.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Group Sustainability, you will embed climate considerations into RAC’s strategy, operations, and risk management while working with stakeholders and external consultants to deliver the Climate Transition Plan and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in a sustainability-related field with strong reporting experience.
• Experience with climate reporting frameworks (AASB S2, TCFD or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess climate-related risks and opportunities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Experience working with external consultants and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of ERM, scenario modelling and climate-related business impacts.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders across RAC to advance climate objectives.
• Facilitate climate risk and opportunity assessments and scenario analyses.
• Embed climate considerations into risk management, planning and decision-making.
• Manage climate data, reporting metrics and disclosures.
• Support the Climate Transition Plan development and implementation.
• Coordinate with Finance to assess climate-related financial impacts, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate relationships with external consultants and subject matter experts.
