Job summary

Forefront Recruitment Pty is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join one of Australia’s largest data centre projects in Melbourne’s west, in a client-side role with close collaboration with the head contractor and internal stakeholders.

You will bring substantial large-project experience across civil, structural, in-ground services or base build packages and manage programme, quality and design coordination on site.

Qualifications

• Large-scale project experience essential.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or experienced Site Engineer managing substantial packages.
• Experience across civil, structural, in-ground services or base build packages for tier one or established tier two head contractors.
• Ability to understand programme, quality, safety and design coordination on a large, complex construction site.
• Role is client-side with collaboration with head contractor, consultants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review construction methodology and short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate design and trade interfaces.
• Monitor inspections and quality documentation; identify risks before they affect the project.
• Track RFIs, hold points, defects and closeout information; ensure head contractor accountability for delivery.
• Represent the client on site and monitor programme, quality and delivery alongside project managers.
