Job summary

Candor Recruitment is partnering with a local Sutherland accounting firm to recruit a capable Manager. You will own a portfolio of clients, oversee accounting, taxation compliance and business advisory, while mentoring staff and coordinating offshore work. Flexible hours and hybrid arrangements support work-life balance.

This role suits an experienced public practice accountant who thrives on client contact, growth of the firm, and delivering value to diverse businesses and individuals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in public practice accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards completion.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Xero and MYOB.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio across accounting, taxation compliance and business advisory.
• Assist directors with restructures, sales and acquisitions and other projects.
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for various entities.
• Provide practical business and taxation advice to clients.
• Build relationships with clients and act as their trusted accounting advisor.
• Lead client meetings and discuss financial performance to identify opportunities.
