Bentley Recruitment is seeking a Client Manager-level professional for a major mid-tier accounting firm, offering remote work across Australia. You will manage a diverse SME and private client portfolio, build trusted relationships, and contribute to advisory work.

This role emphasizes tax and business services expertise, staff mentorship, and collaboration with Partners on complex matters. CA or CPA qualification is preferred, with 5+ years of experience and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of SMEs, privately owned businesses, and complex groups.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted business adviser.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and other compliance work.
• Provide advice across tax planning, structuring, and broader business matters.
• Manage workflow and oversee, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Work directly with Partners on complex tax and advisory matters.

• Experience at Client Manager, Manager or experienced Supervisor level within Australian public practice
• 5+ years Tax & Business Services experience

• Strong review skills and experience mentoring accounting staff
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong technical tax knowledge and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills
• Able to work independently within a collaborative remote environment
