Job summary

Griffith University Library on the Gold Coast seeks a Librarian (Client Experience) to support both online and on-campus interactions, providing expert guidance to library staff and clients. You will work with two other librarians to deliver information services and continuously improve user-focused services.

Based at Gold Coast, you may work across other Griffith locations. The role requires a Degree in Library and Information Science and ALIA membership or progression toward it, plus excellent

Qualifications

• Degree in Library and Information Science with ability to demonstrate relevant experience or education/training enabling ALIA professional membership.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and collaborate with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client and staff support for library resources and services, including first-tier referrals.
• Develop training for Library Campus Services staff on information services and resources for complex enquiries.
• Contribute to user-centric service improvements by analysing data and evaluating systems.
• Proactively develop and document policies, standards and procedures for high-quality services.
• Apply professional knowledge to deliver solutions that improve library services.
• Support other library areas on small projects to enhance client experience.
• Assist in planning engagement activities and events.
• Pursue ongoing personal and professional development in a changing environment.
