Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
• Professional experience in information services in academic, special or research libraries.
• Knowledge of current trends in research, learning and teaching within an academic institution.
• Substantial knowledge of information resources and publishing trends in academic libraries.
• Highly developed skills in the use of current tools and technologies for information services.
• Ability to provide advanced information assistance and information literacy programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex discipline-specific scholarly information services, including library and information services for clients; review publishing trends and research impact reporting.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with academic staff and students to maximise library expertise and services.
• Engage with academic staff and researchers to promote Library services.
• Support researchers with bibliometrics to support grant applications.
• Design, deliver and evaluate information literacy programs.
• Maintain accurate records in Library CRM systems.
• Develop and publish library documentation and participate in committees and projects.
• Mentor library staff as required.
