Job summary

East Grampians Health Service is seeking a part-time Cleaning Assistant for 20 hours per week across Ararat and Willaura campuses. Responsibilities

• Cleaning (high standards of cleanliness across the organization)
• Maintain a high-quality standard of cleanliness in all areas
• Ensure a respectful environment for patients, visitors and staff
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment per Victorian Health facilities cleaning standards
• Document activities and follow infection control guidelines
• Assist in the food service to patients and removal of meal trays
• Assist in cleaning clinical areas

Job description

We are seeking suitably skilled applicants for permanent part-time position as Cleaning Assistant. This position is 20 hours per week.

These include kitchen and food services, cleaning, building and environmental maintenance. Additionally, EGHS operates and maintains its own café (Café Pyrenees) available to all staff, patients, visitors and the wider community. About The Role

Duties involved for this position include:

• Cleaning (cleaning standards to be maintained at a high level), extra cleaning duties / high cleaning duties throughout the organization.
• To provide and maintain a high-quality standard of cleanliness within all areas of the Health Service
• Ensure that all patients, clients, visitors and staff are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy in an environment that is free from harassment and discrimination
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment under the Victorian Health facilities cleaning standards
• Perform all delegated duties in a timely and efficient manner
• Participate in the food service to patients and the removal of meal trays / food after completion
• Participate in the cleaning of clinical areas
• Responsible for appropriately documenting activities
• Follow infectious control guidelines
