Job summary

The JBS Townsville Plant is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team in a full-time capacity. The role starts at entry level with excellent opportunities for long-term career growth within a global organisation. You will maintain high hygiene standards, using appropriate cleaning equipment and adhering to safety procedures.

Working Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm with some flexibility. Competitive starting rate of $26.72 per hour plus penalties where applicable, with opportunities for training

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or food processing is advantageous.
• Ability to work with raw meat/beef products.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.
• Flexible, motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
• Ensure all areas meet sanitation requirements before daily production begins, following safe work practices.

Job description

The JBS Townsville Plant is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner to join our team in a full-time capacity. We are looking for someone to start at an entry level, with excellent opportunities for long-term career growth for the right candidates.

As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all areas meet strict sanitation requirements before daily production begins, while consistently following safe work practices and correctly operating industrial cleaning equipment.

Full-time position

Monday to Friday; 6am to 2pm (some flexibility around these hours may be discussed with suitable candidates)

The starting rate for this role is $26.72 per hour + penalties where applicable

About You

• Experience within a manufacturing or food processing environment advantageous
• Ability to work with raw meat, specifically beef products
• Flexible, motivated and eager to learn
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a physical assessment and a drug and alcohol test
