Minor Hotels’ Oaks Townsville Gateway Suites is expanding its housekeeping team, offering multiple casual opportunities. Ideal candidates are energetic, detail-oriented and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Roles focus on cleaning guest rooms to high standards, with training provided on equipment and safety. Shifts rotate across Monday to Sunday, starting between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, with hourly rates from $33.85 to $47.38

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Details (subject to change)

Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday

Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9:00 am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)

• Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour
• Sunday: $47.38 per hour
