Job summary

Minor Hotels’ Oaks Townsville Gateway Suites is expanding its housekeeping team with casual opportunities. We’re seeking energetic, detail‑oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and who thrive in a team environment.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday with starts between 8:00am and 9:00am. Hourly rates are competitive, reflecting experience and shift type, with supports for training and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred.
• Strong eye for detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high room cleanliness including beds, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning.
• Complete tasks efficiently within allocated hours.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily cleaning targets.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely with training provided.
• Build professional relationships with guests, team and contractors.

Oaks Townsville Gateway Suites is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available. We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject To Change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding Superannuation)

• Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour
• Sunday: $47.38 per hour

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
