Job summary

Ventia is hiring a Prison Cleaner for Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre in Little River, VIC. This permanent part-time role features a consistent weekend roster from Saturday to Wednesday, 8:30pm–12:30am, with starting ASAP and pay from $35.20 per hour plus penalties and super.

In this position you will clean and sanitise offices and facilities, manage waste, restock supplies, and perform occasional bio-cleaning.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is highly regarded.
• Reliable with a strong commitment to attendance and safety.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Physically capable of completing cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise offices, bathrooms, toilets and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty bins and manage waste removal.
• Restock consumables and cleaning supplies.
• Complete bio-cleaning when required.

To Be Considered, You Must Have

• A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• A National Police Check
• A valid Employee Working With Children Check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
• No past or current connections or associations with individuals in Victorian correctional facilities
