Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of our key facility management contract at Gatton Prison. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a team providing cleaning services across the facility. In this role, you will contribute to the team by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting areas such as meal rooms, kitchens, offices, bathrooms and any other areas that will be required.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Cleaning across the facility site
• Ensure that the designated work and service areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness
• Respond to timely ad-hoc cleaning requests
• Follow Cleaning Policies and Procedures
• Appropriate storage and use of chemicals
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials/consumables levels, assist with EOM stock take audits
• Notifying the Supervisor of any maintenance requests/issues required within the Site
• Assist other departments from time to time, if required

About You

You will possess:

• Australian Working Rights
• Ability to pass a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
• Previous experience in a similar housekeeping assignment
• Ability to multi-task and assist across areas with a positive teamwork approach

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

• Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., iClean, MS Office, etc.
• Ability to work autonomously, be a self-motivator and respond to requests in a timely manner
• Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
• Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
