Job summary

Programmed is seeking a reliable cleaner for our Gatton Prison facility. You will perform cleaning tasks across meal rooms, kitchens, offices and bathrooms, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met with a positive, can-do attitude.

Ideal candidates will have prior housekeeping experience, Australian working rights, and the ability to multi-task in a team while using basic systems like iClean and MS Office. This is a full-time role at the Gatton site.

• Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean across the facility site.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in designated areas.
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests promptly.
• Follow Cleaning Policies and Procedures.
• Handle chemicals safely and store properly.
• Keep supplies stocked and assist with stock takes.
• Report maintenance needs to Supervisor.
• Assist other departments when required.

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of our key facility management contract at Gatton Prison. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a team providing cleaning services across the facility. In this role, you will contribute to the team by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting areas such as meal rooms, kitchens, offices, bathrooms and any other areas that will be required.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Cleaning across the facility site
• Ensure that the designated work and service areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness
• Respond to timely ad-hoc cleaning requests
• Follow Cleaning Policies and Procedures
• Appropriate storage and use of chemicals
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials/consumables levels, assist with EOM stock take audits
• Notifying the Supervisor of any maintenance requests/issues required within the Site
• Assist other departments from time to time, if required

• Australian Working Rights
• Ability to pass a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
• Previous experience in a similar housekeeping assignment
• Ability to multi-task and assist across areas with a positive teamwork approach

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

• Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., iClean, MS Office, etc.
• Ability to work autonomously, be a self-motivator and respond to requests in a timely manner
• Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
• Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
