Job summary

Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel is seeking dedicated housekeeping team members to maintain high cleanliness standards across guest rooms. Roles involve making beds, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, and performing tasks within assigned hours.

Shifts are rotated with starts between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, across Monday to Sunday. Casual opportunities with hourly rates noted for weekdays and weekends, offering a rewarding balance between guest service and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks.
• Clear communication with guests and team members.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Familiar with safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

If you’re energetic, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to have you on board!Key Responsibilities:Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.Shift Details (subject to change):Rotating roster across Monday to SundayShifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00amHourly Rates (excluding superannuation):Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hourSaturday: $40.62 per hourSunday: $47.39 per hourQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require the following:Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidaysAdditional InformationAt Minor Hotels, we value our people as the heart of our success.
