The Common Area Cleaner involves servicing, cleaning, and maintaining shared guest areas throughout the property.Key Responsibilities Include:Cleaning and maintaining all common guest areas to the highest standards, ensuring all areas are always hygienic and visually appealing.Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.Building strong, professional relationships with team members and guests to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.Shift Details (subject to change):Rotating roster across Monday to SundayShifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00amPlease note, this is a physically demanding role requiring regular heavy lifting, manual handling of bins and equipment, and movement of bulky itemsHourly Rates (excluding superannuation):Monday - Friday: $33.05 per hourSaturday: $39.66 per hourSunday: $46.27 per hourQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require the following:Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment is highly regarded.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.Additional InformationAt Minor Hotels, we value our people as the heart of our success.
