Job summary

Baptcare is offering part-time cleaner roles at Karingal, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Devonport, Tasmania. The positions require dependable candidates who can work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, weekdays and weekends to maintain high hygiene and service standards.

Successful applicants will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, shared areas, laundry assistance, waste disposal, and restocking supplies, in a home-like environment with strong resident

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic or facility cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Ability to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in a home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Make residents beds and tidy rooms.
• Clean resident rooms including ensuite and common areas.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling appropriately.
• Assist with laundering residents' clothes and items as required.
• Restock linen trolleys and cleaning supplies in all areas.
• Perform other tasks to keep the environment pleasant and safe.

About the Role:

Karingal, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Devonport, Tasmania, is actively welcoming new residents and is offering Part-Time opportunities for Cleaners. We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends for morning and afternoon shifts to ensure high standards of hygiene and service are maintained.

The major accountabilities of the role are the efficiency of the cleaning tasks and quality of relationship the incumbent has with residents, which in turn impacts the overall service standard and atmosphere of the facility.

About you

If you have experience carrying out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment, then this might be the role for you!

Some of your tasks include:

• Making residents beds
• Cleaning resident's rooms including ensuite, communal and administration areas of the facility
• Removal and appropriate disposal of waste: including recycling where appropriate and placing of bins for collection
• Assisting with laundering resident's clothes and other items as required
• Other tasks and errands required to maintain a pleasant, caring, and safe environment for the residents
• Restocking of linen trolleys and cleaning and paper products in all areas
