Goodwin Aged Care is seeking a reliable and caring Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe environment for our residents and to support laundry services when required.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and public areas, completing tasks efficiently and following infection prevention and WHS procedures, while treating residents with dignity and respect. Experience in aged care or healthcare environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, preferably in aged care, healthcare, hotels or similar environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and safe cleaning practices.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.

• Supporting laundry activities, including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing linen and clothing as required.

• Treating residents, families and colleagues with dignity, respect and professionalism.
• Working independently while contributing positively to the wider team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience in cleaning, preferably in aged care, healthcare, hotels or similar environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and safe cleaning practices.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.
• A positive, respectful and flexible approach to working with older people.

Experience operating cleaning equipment such as polishers, scrubbers, carpet shampooers or pressure cleaners is desirable.

Qualification (Not Mandatory)

Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Applicable penalty rates and allowances will be paid in accordance with the relevant industrial instrument and employment arrangements.
