Job summary

Ikon Services Australia is seeking a reliable cleaning operative based at Avalon Airport to deliver high-quality cleaning of public areas, facilities and washrooms in line with schedules and standards.

You will handle waste, spot clean floors, toilets and car parks, report maintenance needs and ensure equipment is maintained and stored safely, using chemicals correctly and performing steam cleaning and floor care when required.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen status required.
• Driver's licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Detailed cleans of public areas including facilities & washrooms.
• Collection of waste from designated waste stations.
• Spot cleaning, including mopping, sweeping.
• Toilet, car park and walkway cleaning.
• Reporting of any maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
• Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained.
• Steam cleaning, floor strip and seal, pressure washing.

Job description

This position is starting as soon as possible based in Avalon Airport. This role will be responsible for a range of cleaning tasks, working to agreed schedules to deliver a high quality standard of work.

Key responsibilities

Detailed cleans of public areas including facilities & washrooms

Collection of waste from designated waste stations

Spot cleaning, including mopping, sweeping

Toilet, car park and walkway cleaning

Reporting of any maintenance requirements

Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly

Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained

Steam cleaning, floor strip and seal, pressure washing

About you

Australian Citizens only

Australia Driver's licence essential

Experience using a pressure washer or steam cleaner (not essential)

Reliable, punctual

Diligent and takes pride in own work

Customer service experience, working with the public

Ability to work unsupervised and also part of a team
