Job summary

St John's Catholic Parish Primary School, Dapto, is seeking several temporary full-time Primary teachers (K-6) to commence on 28 January 2027 and conclude 26 January 2028. The role focuses on faith-guided teaching and improving learning outcomes within a Catholic context.

Essential criteria include NSW NESA accreditation, Level D for Religious Education or commitment to gain it within five years, WWCC clearance, and ability to engage with families and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Must hold Primary K-6 teaching qualifications.
• Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education or commit to obtain within 5 years with CEDoW.
• Must be accredited with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Job description

Several temporary full time K-6 teaching positions are available at St John's Catholic Parish Primary School, Dapto. The temporary positions will commence on 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K-6.
• Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
• The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
