Job summary

St Joseph’s Primary School Lockhart invites applications for a part-time Classroom Teacher to cover a 0.4 FTE leave replacement during Term 4, 2026. The role involves delivering curriculum-aligned lessons, differentiating instruction, and building connections with families to support student outcomes.

You will work within a Catholic education community, upholding the values of Welcome, Faith, Service and Learning while collaborating with colleagues to enhance learning experiences for K‑6

Qualifications

• Commitment to the values, mission, and ethos of Catholic education and the broader Catholic Church
• Accreditation or commitment to obtaining it and contemporary knowledge of RE pedagogy and the Religious Education curriculum
• Demonstrate knowledge of the K-6 curriculum and ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality curriculum programs
• Ability to use assessment data to personalise and differentiate learning for diverse student abilities
• Create a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment
• Flexibility, organisational and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, parents and the community
• NSW Working with Children Check
• NSW NESA Accreditation
• Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category B) or working towards Accreditation

Responsibilities

Essential Criteria

• A commitment to the values, mission, and ethos of Catholic education and the broader Catholic Church
• Accreditation (or commitment to obtaining it) and contemporary knowledge of RE pedagogy and the Religious Education curriculum
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the K-6 curriculum and the ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality curriculum programs that lead to improved student outcomes
• Skill in using assessment data to personalise and differentiate learning for a diverse range of student abilities
• Capacity to establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment where students are engaged and self-disciplined
• Shows flexibility, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community
• NSW Working with Children Check
• NSW NESA Accreditation
• Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category B, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation.
