Job summary

Mickleham Secondary College in Melbourne’s northern suburbs invites applications for a classroom teacher. The role will deliver high-quality teaching across Years 7–11 (with a 7–12 cohort from 2028), within a 20-acre campus noted for modern facilities and strong community partnerships.

You will contribute to planning, assessment and data-informed teaching, guided by our values of Achievement, Respect, Community and Honesty. Victorian registration is required.

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to respond to student learning needs.
• SC2: Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• SC3: Proficiency in monitoring and assessing student progress with data-informed feedback.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with families and colleagues.
• SC5: Commitment to Department values and professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
