Specific Criteria

• Be a highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner with demonstrated experience in a secondary school setting
• Support the vision, purpose and values of Catholic Schools Broken Bay and the strategic priorities of the College
• Current knowledge of The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education
• Current knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), its processes and obligations to schools
• Proven ability to develop, implement, assess and monitor individual learning plans for diverse learning students, including behaviour and personal care support plans
• Embed innovative pedagogical practices including digital technology
• Effectively manage and facilitate safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
• Align professional learning to the needs of students
• Be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic diverse learning team and professional learning community
• Possess highly developed interpersonal, presentation and communication skills alongside the ability to develop positive personal relationships with staff, students, parents, carers and community members
• Demonstrate a commitment to supporting and participating in the broader co-curricular activities and initiatives of the College community
• Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four-year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
