Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education's St Thomas More College Sunnybank is seeking a dedicated School Officer (Classroom Support) to assist teachers and students across the College.

You will help plan, prepare, and deliver learning programs, monitor progress, and support students with diverse learning needs. This fixed-term, term-time role runs 30 hours per week from January 2027, with salary at School Officer Level 3 plus super.

Qualifications

• Strong planning, preparing and delivering teaching programs.
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use of technology and learning support activities.
• Monitor the progress of students and identify learning areas for evidence-based intervention.
• Improve student outcomes by supporting diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with school specialists to coordinate intervention groups.
• Document observation notes, intervention programs and prepare classroom materials.
