Job summary

People Mill is recruiting a Claims Consultant/Specialist for a Full-Time role based in Sydney. You will manage an own portfolio of open claims across Body Corporate/Strata clients and handle end-to-end claims processes with emphasis on high-quality service.

You’ll work with Senior Management and broking teams in a supportive, sociable office culture. Flexible arrangements include working from home three days per week to suit client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Tier 2 Qualification in General Insurance Broking (Tier 1 an advantage) or willing to obtain.
• Previous experience working as a Claims Consultant.
• 2-3 years of experience with end to end claims management.

Job description

We have a third newly created Full-Time opportunity with one of our favourite national Insurance Broking clients in Sydney. Our client is a national Steadfast operated Insurance Brokerage with a medium to large sized team of successful brokers, claims staff, support staff and many other talented people. They're looking to employ a Full Time Claims Consultant / Specialist. Their new office has a great vibe, the team is very sociable with regular get-togethers. Our client has one of the more highly sort after cultures with respect to team and flexibility, you can work from home 3 days a week, plus lots of other perks and employee benefits.

This is a newly created role, we have filled two roles, and now looking for our third recruit, this person will be based in Sydney.

You can also work from home 3 days a week if wanted.

The Role

Our client is seeking to recruit a Claims Consultant/Specialist, they have a wide variety Body Corporate / Strata clients and are known as the go-to Strata Brokerage. All team members have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills under the direct guidance of Senior Management. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of open claims, and manage the process from end to end.

This is an integral role with a strong emphasis on high quality service and being responsive to our clients' needs. Joining a supportive and friendly office, working closely with experienced Directors and their broking teams, you will be responsible for end-to-end claims management, fast responses to client, a keen eye for detail and work well under high volume.

With sound experience in claims across multiple lines of General Insurance or even better, around Strata/ Body Corporate, you are known for your high attention to detail, responsive approach to taking action and supportive nature. You are friendly and can be relied upon to produce high quality work every time. Also, you’re good with systems and procedures, you will leave nothing to chance to ensure efficiency in your processes. Sincere and conscientious, you will be appreciated for your calm and composed nature when the pressure is on.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• Minimum Tier 2 Qualification in General Insurance Broking (Tier 1 an advantage) or willing to obtain.
