McLardy McShane Insurance Advisors in Sydney CBD is seeking a motivated Claims Executive to manage end-to-end insurance claims across commercial, motor, home, property and liability lines, delivering timely updates and exceptional service.

You should have 2–5 years in claims, strong communication and organisation, plus experience with claims management systems and insurance legislation. Tier 1 Insurance qualification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.

McLardy McShane Insurance Advisors – Sydney CBD NSW

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Claims Executive to join our growing insurance team. This role is responsible for managing insurance claims from initial notification through to resolution across a broad range of general insurance products, including commercial & Corporate lines, motor, home, property, liability, and financial lines.

Working closely with the Melbourne Claims Manager and National Claims Manager and the respective teams, you will deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

This role is open to anyone in QLD, WA or NSW. The right candidate will be positioned in the McLardy McShane office in their region.

Key Responsibilities

Claims Management

• Manage end-to-end insurance claims within delegated authority levels
• Assess claim documentation, policy coverage, liability, and damages
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records within internal systems
• Monitor claim progress to ensure service standards and turnaround times are achieved

Customer Service

• Provide professional, empathetic, and timely support to clients throughout the claims process
• Communicate claim updates and outcomes clearly to clients and account managers
• Manage customer expectations and assist with complaint resolution when required
• Deliver positive customer experiences during often challenging situations

Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with brokers, assessors, repairers, legal representatives, suppliers, and third parties
• Coordinate external service providers to support efficient claim outcomes
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

About You

• 2–5 years’ experience in insurance claims management
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• The ability to manage difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilityThe ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Sound knowledge of insurance products and claims processes
• Tier 1 Insurance qualification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience using claims management systems
• Understanding of relevant insurance legislation and industry codes of practice
