Job summary

Waverley Council is seeking a Multi-Skilled, Team Member – Civil to lead a civil maintenance and construction team across public infrastructure. The role combines hands-on technical work, leadership, and daily operational coordination on a 38-hour week.

Based in Sydney, the position offers a permanent full-time contract, a base salary in the advertised range plus 12% super, a Monday–Friday 6am–3pm schedule, and strong community-focused values.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, guide and performance-manage staff.
• Practical multi-skilled civil maintenance or construction experience.
• HR driver licence, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• White Card, or willingness to obtain on commencement.
• Fit for manual handling; clear communication and confident Office/Outlook use.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a multi-skilled civil team.
• Plan and allocate crews, plant, equipment and materials.
• Deliver and oversee roads, footpaths, kerbs, drainage and paving works.
• Monitor work quality, productivity, WHS and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate delivery with Council teams, contractors and stakeholders.

Lead a multi-skilled civil team delivering maintenance and construction works across public infrastructure.
