Job summary

Haynes Group is seeking experienced Multi-skilled Operators & Labourers for a Civil Road Project near Fernvale, Qld. This casual role offers a 6:30am–5:00pm schedule and a minimum 3-month project, with a pay rate from $47.50 per hour.

You will operate 14T GPS Excavators, Posi-Track Loaders, Rollers and Water Carts, perform earthworks and compaction, and maintain site safety with daily pre-start checks and SWMS compliance.

Qualifications

• HR Driver's Licence (Operators) required.
• Open Driver's Licence (Labourer) required.
• White Card required for site access.
• RII Tickets (Operators) required.
• Must have Correct PPE and Hard Hat.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate civil construction plant including 14T GPS Excavators, Posi-Track Loaders, Rollers and Water Carts.
• Carry out excavation, bulk earthworks, backfilling and material handling efficiently.
• Operate compaction equipment to meet standards and maintain quality workmanship.
• Manage dust suppression with water carts and comply with environmental controls.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections, routine servicing and report defects.
• Identify hazards and follow SWMS and site safety procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility by operating multiple plant types and assisting other crews.
• Maintain productive communication with supervisors, surveyors and team members.

• Pay Rate: from $47.50 Flat Rate
• Hours: 6:30am - 5:00pm
• Roster: Monday - Friday
• Type: Casual | minimum 3 month project
• Must be able to start on Monday

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a range of civil construction plant and equipment including 14T GPS Excavators, Posi-Track Loaders, Rollers and Water Carts in accordance with project requirements.
• Carry out excavation, trimming, bulk earthworks, backfilling, loading and material handling activities efficiently and accurately.
• Operate compaction equipment to achieve specified compaction standards and maintain quality workmanship throughout all stages of construction.
• Manage dust suppression activities using water carts to maintain a safe working environment and comply with environmental requirements.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections, routine servicing and basic maintenance of plant and equipment, reporting defects promptly.
• Identify and mitigate workplace hazards while complying with all company policies, SWMS, environmental controls and site safety procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility by operating multiple plant types and assisting other crews as required to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors, surveyors, subcontractors and team members to ensure productive and coordinated site operations.
