Cardinia Shire Council is seeking applicants for a civil maintenance role based in the Pakenham area. You will operate machinery to maintain roads and drainage, support infrastructure projects, and follow safety and quality procedures with guidance from experienced leaders.

To be eligible you must hold a Heavy Rigid Victorian Driver Licence (upgrade within 3 months), a White Card, and haveplant and equipment operation experience. A 9-day fortnight and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Current minimum license: Heavy Rigid Victorian Driver Licence (or willing to upgrade).
• Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Experience/qualifications in plant and equipment operation (excavator, skid steer, grader, backhoe).
• Commit to upgrading to Heavy Combination Victorian Driver Licence within 3 months of eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Operate machinery and maintain roads and drainage to support community infrastructure.
• Keep worksites safe and ensure tasks are completed to quality standards.
• Assist with manual tasks and equipment upkeep, tools, and site safety checks.
• Support mentoring by experienced team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
