Job summary

Hepburn Shire Council is seeking a Civil Maintenance / Plant Operator to operate trucks, plant and equipment across Creswick and Hepburn Shire. You will contribute to roads, drainage and footpath maintenance with a skilled team.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration and accurate record-keeping, with a 9-day fortnight, and base location Creswick depot. A strong commitment to wellbeing and community service is valued.

Qualifications

• Current MR Truck Licence is required.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain before start.
• Experience operating civil plant and equipment.
• National Criminal History Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, civil plant, machinery and tools safely and effectively.
• Undertake road, drainage, roadside, footpath and related infrastructure maintenance and construction.
• Support planned maintenance, reactive works and Road Management Plan activities.
• Assist with signage, traffic management setup and safe worksite operations.
• Complete daily plant inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors and other Council staff.
